I have always had an interest in architecture, set design, lighting and spaces. These observations have culminated in sculptures, lighting pieces and prints. All the new work demonstrates a study of the empty space, giving an air of mystery and potential for creating a story - filling the space. The ceramic work is made in various grogged bodies that is unglazed, with some surfaces gilded after firing. Sometimes the interiors are left white, while others have been painted to add to the atmosphere. Some surfaces are embellished with screen printed plans for mid-century architecture.

I also produce functional ceramics and examples can be seen on our gallery/workshop site www.artichautateliers.com
